Monday
Team APA departed late Sunday night and arrived in Tunica at 8am Monday morning. No one slept en-route and little conversation took place during the journey. It was either due to little sleep, or the players were focusing on the play to happen.
Team APA registered for the 12pm NLHE event #6 which was a $230.00 buy in. 573 players enrolled making the payout placement at 63 or better. As play progressed, Kendrick went out at level 4, Dan at Level 5 and Henry at level 6. Tim was hitting but came shy of money placement by being knocked out in 80th place.
Tuesday
Team APA registered for the 12pm event #7 which was a $230.00 buy in. 408 players enrolled making payout placement at 45 or better. Kendrick was first out at level 4. Dan followed at level 6 and Henry held in until level 8. By 2am Wednesday morning Tim was bagging his $210,000 in chips and looking for a bed in order to be fresh for the 1PM start time of day 2. In the end, Tim took 15th place out of the remaining 28 for day 2.
Wednesday
If I have this correct, all players entered the 12pm NLHE event #8. 249 enrolled making payout placement at 24 or better. Dan was knocked-out at level 4 and Kendrick went out at level 12.
Henry and Tim bought into the H.O.R.S.E. event. Although Tim said it was interesting, he was out in Level 4. Henry, on the other hand, advanced well through the field and it appeared as though he would hit pay-dirt. Level 28 proved to be his nemesis as he exited the tourney just shy of the money.
Kendrick played in either the 4pm or 7pm tournament and placed 6th in the money.
Thursday
All players slept in and entered into the 4pm NLHE $230.00 event. All of the players were knocked-out early except Henry who held-up until 11pm. Kendrick, Tim and Dan bought into the 7pm NLHE $125.00 event. Tim went out first and headed back to the hotel for sleep as departure Friday morning was at 5am. As the evening fell into morning, Kendrick and Dan came rolling into the hotel room at 4am Friday morning. Kendrick TOOK DOWN THE TOURNEY in 1st place for 2K and Dan took 6th place.
In all... TEAM APA showed the true colors of the league by placing well in their events. Tim and Kendrick took down 4 of 6 sitNgo's that they played in and represented their individual leagues in a stellar manner.
The APA wishes to extend laudatory remarks on the placement of all of the members that played. This is proof positive that the APA and its affiliated leagues are not bar scene, freeroll, fly-by-night operations. We can assure new players and leagues that we offer only the best in Legal Poker play.

TUNICA World Series Of Poker Circuit Events
The WSOP Tunica Schedule has been posted on the WSOP Schedule page. Link Harrahs Tunica Event
We are not sure if this is the official schedule. Last year multiple non-NLHE events were also posted on the schedule. Additionally, it was noted that Sit-N-Go tables were available. We can be sure that SnG tables will be offered but we are unsure about PLO games. We also note that the events that are posted are for 2 day events ONLY. Last year they posted 1 day events on the schedule. i>
MONEY INFORMATION (The Run-Down)
It appears that the lowest risk to reward week is 25-29 January @ $1000.00 if you consider playing in each 2 day event and not making it to day 2. The week of 1-5 February is a potential total of$1300.00. If I remember correctly, last year there were multiple Sit-N-Go tourneys that ranged from $80.00 to $130.00 buy-in.
If you are going to stake a player, or invest yourself, you should look at the Hammond Indiana series to get a feel for the possible prize pool for each event. On average, the prize pool is between $67K-95K for the events. Last year the Tunica event had more players than the WSOP staff had planned on and the pools were larger. When attempting to base possible ROI’s/payout seats off of other circuit events, exercise caution as the Southern Players break into their “moonshine money” to play. You may want to also consider the current economy.
Agreements Among Players
At anytime players may offer a percentage of win among each other. Typically a agreement might be “if any of us enter into the money, we share x% to each player entered into the agreement up to x%.
Staking players. This is a agreement between the staker and stakee. If you desire to risk $, but are not going to the event, you can find a player that is attending and agree to stake a partial or full entry fee for the player to sit in the event. If the player enters in the money, your agreement on the % of share is binding.
