Stake a Player
Staking a player is the same as fronting funds or investing in a player with the hope of benefiting from their skill. If you enter into a “stake”, it is between you and the selected player. Keep in mind that a player may not be able to play in the game that you selected to “stake” if they have advanced to a higher level in a prior tournament. Example, if Guido entered into a 2 day tournament on Monday and you agreed to “stake” him in a Tuesday game, his Monday event will continue on Tuesday and he will be unable to exercise the “stake” option.
Most “Stakes” are for a percentage of the total winnings that a player may garner from being “In the Money” for that tournament. You can also consider staking a player in the various Sit-N-Go tournaments.
