Playing: 4 years
ROI (Chip Wars): 287.14%
Primary experience: Tournament, deep stack (6K or more starting)
Play Style: Tight-aggressive, controlling pot-size (aka, Small Ball variant)
Primary Skill: Trapping
Bluff Percentage: 1%
Weakness: Races too much when big-stacked (working on that)
Strength: Maximizing value from large pots
Goof Factor: Moderate to High - playing "trash" cards from random positions and spiking straights/boats against big hands.
Random Things:
• I will show big hands I raise with early in the tournament, both to establish credibility and as psychological warfare ("Don't mess with him. He's too lucky!").
• I enjoy visiting with people and making jokes. Relaxed people will have more fun and that's why I play. Yes, this is particularly true at satellite games and in my experience it makes a table play more passively.
• My usual play-style is not optimal against loose-aggressive players. When I have one of those to my right, I tighten up and come over the top of them with big hands. When a Loose-Aggressive player is to my left, I move into trapping mode, smooth-calling and drawing them into big pots when I have strong hands, then hammering them on the turn.
• I recognize the difference between short-stack tournaments (4K or less starting stack) and deep-stack tournaments. Loose Aggression is less effective in deep-stack tournaments, and thus more chips equals a bonus for my play style.
If Staked (not in that vampire-through-the-heart way):
• I favor a straight percentage based-return, up to 40%. If someone pitches 50% of the buy-in, they're entitled to 50% of my winnings. The minimum I will take as my cut is 40%, and that's for a full stake (player pays my whole buy-in) as the skill and luck required to get to the money is still mine, and I would be working for it.
• If I cannot attend a tournament you staked me for, for whatever reason, then I will return your money in full.
• Any stake agreement will be written out and a copy e-mailed to the person who decides to stake me. Percentages will be agreed upon prior to the event, as well as the amount the person will pay toward my buy-in and the event details, and all of this will be included in the agreement.
• If someone chooses to stake my buy-in, they will need to provide the money before I leave for Tunica.
