  • All APA Board positions are selected for 1 APA season terms to be appointed within a period of time not to exceed 1 month following the annual Austin Poker Alliance Regional Tournament.
  • Executive Chair (EC) is selected through a voting process by APA  League Officers with a simple majority vote determining the outcome. The Executive Officer may submit proposals to the Board for voting consideration. The Executive Director will vote only in the event that there is no simple majority of votes from League Officers.
  • Vice Chair (VC) is selected through a voting process by APA league officers with a simple majority vote determining the outcome. The Vice Chair may submit proposals but may not vote unless there is no simple majority between the Officers AND the Executive Chair is not available to cast a tie-breaking vote.
  • League Officer (LO) positions are selected with priority given to the respective league director. If the league director declines the League Officer position, the league may select their representative by using their own process. If no LO is established, the APA Executive Officer will select a member from that league to serve for the duration of the APA season.
  • Committee Chair is selected by the Executive Chair as needed for APA organization, events and activities. The Committee Chair position does not qualify for a vote. Any player in any APA League may serve as a Committee Chair.
  • Agendas will be provided by email or in person to all APA Board members and on the APA website at least 2 weeks prior to the next APA quarterly event. All players from APA leagues will have access to review Agenda items and express their support for or against such items.
  • Proposals may be submitted to the Executive Chair by any APA Board member for voting. The EC verifies the proposal does not violate Texas statutes on gambling or the APA stated purposes and then adds the proposal to the next scheduled APA Board Agenda. Players from APA leagues may submit proposals to the Executive Chair, Vice Chair or respective League Officer. For a proposal submitted by an APA league player holding no APA Board position to be added to the Agenda for voting consideration, it must be reviewed and approved by the Executive Chair.
  • Items requiring a vote by the APA Board include, but are not limited to, the following:
    • Time, date, location and all necessary details concerning the annual Austin Poker Alliance Regional Tournament
    • Time, date, location and all necessary details concerning APA hosted quarterly events
    • Approved proposal items on upcoming Agendas
    • Approval of new leagues for APA League Membership
    • Other issues presented by the Executive Chair
